$100,000–$125,000 base + bonus, pension, and benefits
SRA Staffing is hiring a full-time Project Manager on behalf of a highly respected financial services organization located in midtown Toronto.
This is a great opportunity for a strong PM who wants more than a short-term contract. You’ll be joining a stable, established organization with a long-standing presence in the market, while helping deliver meaningful business and technology initiatives across insurance, finance, and investment platforms.
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys owning multiple projects, working directly with business and IT leaders, managing vendor delivery, and bringing structure to complex initiatives in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Project Manager, you will lead multiple concurrent initiatives across application development, infrastructure, system implementations, and business transformation.
Projects typically range from $300K to $6M+ and involve close partnership with internal stakeholders, steering committees, technology teams, and external development vendors.
You will be responsible for:
• Leading end-to-end project delivery across business and technology initiatives
• Managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to keep delivery on track
• Providing clear project reporting, financial updates, and executive-level status communication
• Supporting a practical blend of Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
• Helping drive accountability, structure, and momentum across multiple active projects
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Project Manager who can operate well in a mid-sized financial services environment. This is not a heavily layered PMO role. You’ll need to be proactive, organized, communicative, and comfortable driving outcomes with limited hand-holding.
Strong candidates will bring:
• 8+ years of project management experience across IT and business delivery
• Experience managing application development or system implementation projects
• Experience working with external vendors or offshore development partners
• 2+ years of Agile delivery exposure, ideally in a mixed Agile/Waterfall environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior business and IT audiences
• Comfort managing project financials, budgets, risks, schedules, and reporting
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Office 365, ADO, or JIRA
• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
